ar was built by
Bennett Automotive, Hayward, CA. It is a true race car
with a monocoque frame, independent wheel suspension,
knock off wheels, inboard rear brakes, etc. The frame and suspension based on Formula One design, were fabricated by Paul Bennett,
and the entire car was built in his shop in Hayward.
Our car is one of twenty
cars designed and built by Bennett Automotive. The car has
a new Ford SVO (Special Vehicle Operations), 460 short block, with new, SVO aluminum 429 Cobra Jet
heads. Car is fitted with true knock offs and Goodyear ZR rated tires.

otor Cars Ltd and Ford made automotive history when
their union resulted in the development of the Cobra. This Cobra replicates the original not only in it's
beautifully brutish appearance, but also in it's stunning performance. Original curb weight, weight
distribution, ie, 51% of the weight over the rear wheels, and engine tune ie, horsepower
and torque characteristics, are faithfully incorporated into this automobile.

Features Included
The following lists some of the major detail:
- Paint is the original Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white
stripe that were the colors of the Cobra Ford Racing Team.
- The dash, seats and door panels are covered in leather.
- The instruments are Stewart Warner,
and are faithfully positioned for the 427 SC cockpit.
- The steering wheel is the original,
as well as the center cap.
- Shift lever is the original, which uses
Hurst competition shift linkage to improve the shift quality.
- Racing approved 5 point seat belts are provided for driver and passenger.
- Brake and clutch pedal pads are the original style AC type.
The throttle pedal and linkage replicate the original.
- The engine is based on a new Ford SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) Super Sport 460 short block with new aluminum 429 Cobra Jet heads, aluminum water pump and
aluminum intake.
- J.Biddle of America (JBA). Ford racing engine specialists based in
San Diego, assembled and dynoed the engine.
- Full documentation on dyno testing is available.
- Approximate horsepower/torque is 500HP / 500 lbs/ft.
- Oil cooler is provided in the original configuration.
- Original cooling fan installation.
- Original Ford big shaft 4 speed top loader is provided.
- Lakewood NHRA approved racing scatter proof bell housing is provided.
- Halibrand replica knock off 9 x 17 front and 11 x 17 rear wheels
built by Phil Schmidt of Los Angeles.
- Fitted with Goodyear Eagle High Performance tires, 245/45ZR17 GY EAG HP ULTRA in front,
and 275/40ZR17 GY EAG HP ULTRA in rear.
- Upsprung weight is minimized. Front suspension has inboard
mounted shocks. Rear disc brakes are inboard mounted.
- Rear independent suspension with Ford 9 inch "Hoghead"
with traction lock, mounted in a custom, aluminum differential transmitting power through Porsche 930 Turbo CV joints.
- Front and rear suspension have ALDAN coilovers and JFZ
rotors and calipers.
- Brake and hydraulic clutch plumbing have stainless steel lines,
EARLS AN fittings and AEROQUIP flex lines.
- Extensive aluminum work is provided in the nose, engine bay and trunk.
- MSD ignition system with adjustable rpm limiter is used; as well as, 8.8mm racing
spark plug wires with platinum tip spark plugs.
- Fuell cell is utilized.
